Women and Technology - the challenge for marketers

This is a major study produced by Cohn & Wolfe, one of the UK's leading PR firms. It draws on specially commissioned market research to explore the evolving relationship between new communications technologies and the particular service requirements of women consumers. Deficiencies in the way high-tech products are currently marketed to women are a special focus of the analysis which ranges across the markets for mobile telephones, the Internet, computers, kitchens, cars…… The aim throughout is to show how the companies operating in such sectors can build better diplomacies with a generation of techo-literate women by both exploring the wider texture of their lives and their individual experiences at point of sale.

James Murphy of Model Reasoning was a contributor editor to the study which enjoyed sustained exposure in both the national and the marketing media in the course of 1999.

The report is available from Cohn & Wolfe.
